The petite Piping Plover peacefully pilfers the sandy shores, trying to protect her ploverlettes from plunderers(people, vehicles, development) and predators(dogs, foxes, raccoons). Although listed as 'threatened', thereby protected, the status of these polite pee wees is precarious. Pippa pleads, "Ppplease preserve our peeping population! Please protect our posted places! Pretty ppplease?"
